Do I have the ability to negotiate with creditors in order to settle my debts?
Creditors are usually receptive to business owners negotiating their debts. There’s on caveat, they’re more interesting in figuring out a way to ensure that the company doesn’t go out of business before they’re paid what they’re owed.
As a result, negotiation opportunities are usually available for business owners. They are not something that a creditor would necessarily offer immediately, however, if you have your counsel engaged and you make your entire situation available to your creditor they may be more willing to enter into negotiations to help you and to help them at the same time.
